About this Phantom Blade Zero guide
Facts checked 2026-10-28
This is an independent guide to Phantom Blade Zero. Facts come from S-GAME's own pages, the PlayStation and Steam listings and the launch build; every page carries the date it was checked.
This is an independent guide to Phantom Blade Zero, written for players who are already in the game and want the systems explained without a fifteen-minute video intro.
It is not affiliated with S-GAME. The game, its imagery and its names belong to S-GAME; the words here are ours.
What this site covers
- Systems. Sha-chi, parrying, ghostep, weapon switching, upgrades, Tempering, accessories, difficulty.
- Data. The 36 trophies, the named boss roster, the eight regions and nineteen chapters, PC requirements, editions, review scores.
- Decisions. Which difficulty to pick, which weapon to invest in, when to Temper, which Tales to finish before the story moves on.
What it does not do: a room-by-room walkthrough of every chapter, or invented damage tables. Both are explained where they are missing rather than faked.
Where the facts come from
Everything on this site traces to one of five sources:
- S-GAME's official site, including the PC system requirements and pre-order pages.
- The PlayStation Store and Steam listings, which carry the editions, languages and feature list.
- The published PS5 trophy list, which is the most reliable public boss roster.
- Reviews from outlets that played the launch build, used for performance and structure rather than opinion.
- The launch build itself, for mechanics that can be tested directly.
Where sources conflict, the page says so rather than picking the more convenient version. Where a number is not published, it is not printed.
The checked date
Every page carries Facts checked 28 October 2026 under the headline. That date moves when the page is re-checked against a new patch, and it does not move when a page is merely edited for style.
Launch-week pages are the least stable this site will ever be. If you are reading this months later and something has changed, the date is your signal to check the patch notes.
Corrections
Corrections are welcome and are the fastest way to improve the site. The contact page explains what to include: the page URL, the claim, and a source that contradicts it. A screenshot from your own copy is the strongest evidence you can send.
Why the site looks like this
The visual language is taken from the game rather than from a template: ink-black backgrounds, bone-paper text, vermilion seals, brass fittings and a serif that reads like printed Chinese. The seal mark in the quick-answer blocks is the character 刃 — blade.
The home page is the best place to start if you have not read anything yet.
