Phantom Blade Zero unlocks on 29 October 2026 at 10:00 Beijing time. That is 28 October at 19:00 PT, 22:00 ET and 03:00 BST on the 29th. Preload opened on 26 October at 19:00 PT, so the download is already sitting on most pre-ordered consoles and PCs.
There is no early-access period and no edition that plays sooner. The Deluxe edition adds cosmetic outfits, a digital artbook and the soundtrack; it does not move the clock.

S-GAME's own preload note asks PC players to install on an SSD and to keep roughly 300 GB free while the preload unpacks. That is not a typo or a marketing figure: the download is compressed, and the unpack needs room for both copies at once. If your drive is tight, delete the preload and download after launch instead — you will wait longer but you will not run out of space halfway through.
What you are buying
The standard edition is $59.99 / £54.99 on both platforms. The Deluxe edition is $10 / £10 more and adds two exclusive outfits (Wulin Legend and Blood-Steel Form), a digital artbook and the soundtrack. Pre-ordering either edition adds the Treasure Basin accessory, which raises Remnant Dust drops by 10%, and the Legacy outfit.
A physical PS5 release is confirmed for 2027 in three editions, including an Ultimate edition with a steel case. Nothing about it changes the digital launch on 29 October.

Launch-day checklist
- Install the preload, then let the console or Steam verify the files before launch hour.
- Update your GPU driver if you are on PC; the launch build ships with ray tracing and DLSS 4 support.
- Start on the difficulty you actually want to finish. Trophies do not care, and you can change the setting later.
- Play the first hour with the sound on. Attack tells are colour-coded, but the audio cue arrives earlier than the visual on several bosses.
- Do not spend materials on more than one weapon before the first major boss. See upgrades and Tempering.
FAQ
Is there a day-one patch?
The preload is the launch build; S-GAME has not announced a separate day-one patch. If one arrives, it will install before the unlock timer completes.
Can I play at midnight local time?
No. This is a single global unlock at 10:00 Beijing time, not a rolling midnight release. New Zealand does not get it first.
Does the PS5 version need the disc?
There is no disc at launch. The 2027 physical edition is the first boxed release, and the digital version is playable offline once installed.
Is the Deluxe edition worth it?
Only if you want the two outfits, the artbook and the soundtrack. Nothing in it affects combat, progression or the platinum.
